The 1GW solar and energy storage project in the Ulan Buh Desert, Inner Mongolia, China, fully powered by Trinasolar's high-efficiency Vertex modules, has been operating reliably and delivering outstanding performance since its grid connection in December 2023.
The project features Trinasolar's high-performance Vertex modules, which significantly reduce LCOE while delivering higher customer values with high power, efficiency, energy yield and long-term reliability.
Thanks to this technological edge, the plant generates approximately 2.354 billion kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to offsetting nearly 1.98 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions and saving about 773,600 tons of standard coal each year.
Beyond delivering impressive environmental benefits, the project plays a crucial ecological role. By utilizing desert and unused mining lands, the project maximizes land efficiency and directly contributing to ecosystem recovery. Located in one of China's most arid and ecologically fragile regions, the project plays a significant role in creating a green ecological buffer zone in an area long troubled by desertification.
